1. About the Service
InspectApps lets you submit a public Shopify storefront URL and view information about the apps, theme, payment gateways, and other tools that the storefront appears to use, based on publicly available data. Results are provided for informational purposes only and may be incomplete, out of date, or incorrect.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) and able to enter into a binding agreement to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws. You will not, and will not attempt to:
- Use the Service to violate the rights of any third party, including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
- Submit scans, requests, or traffic in a manner that is excessive, automated beyond reasonable use, or designed to overload or disrupt the Service or any third-party site.
- Use the Service to perform security testing, vulnerability scanning, or unauthorized access against any system, network, or storefront.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to extract the source code or underlying data of the Service, except as expressly permitted by applicable law.
- Use the Service to harass, defame, harm, or unfairly compete with any merchant, app, theme, or other third party.
- Bypass or attempt to bypass rate limits, access controls, security measures, or usage restrictions.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service or its output without our prior written permission.
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated or that doing so is necessary to protect the Service, our users, or third parties.
4. Third-party storefronts and content
The Service analyzes publicly available information from third-party storefronts that you choose to scan. We do not operate those storefronts and do not control their content, apps, integrations, or behavior. References to specific apps, themes, payment providers, or other tools are based on publicly available signals and are provided for informational purposes only. They do not imply endorsement, affiliation, sponsorship, or partnership.
All trademarks, logos, and brand names are the property of their respective owners. Use of any third-party name or mark is for identification purposes only.
If you are the operator of a storefront and believe information displayed about your site is inaccurate, or you would like your site excluded from scans where feasible, contact us at legal@inspectapps.com.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, and other content created by us, is owned by InspectApps and is protected by intellectual property and other laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your personal or internal business use, subject to these Terms.
We retain all rights not expressly granted to you in these Terms.
6. Feedback
If you send us suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Service, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use that feedback for any purpose without obligation to you.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that results obtained from the Service will be accurate, complete, or reliable, or that any defects will be corrected. You use the Service at your own risk. Decisions made based on information from the Service are your responsibility.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will InspectApps, its affiliates, or their respective directors, officers, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us for the Service in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (US$100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
9. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless InspectApps and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property, privacy, or contractual right.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law.
11. Changes to the Service and Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated by reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which InspectApps is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The courts located in that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except that either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
13. Miscellaneous
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and InspectApps regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements. If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision will not be considered a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign them without restriction.
